About Us

We Are The Flame Fighters

It all started with a twelve year-old boy who wanted to raise money and awareness for Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)–a disease his mother has had for over 19 years. Now, his mission has turned into an annual event.

Who We Are

Fight The Flame® is a non-profit organization whose goal is to raise money and educate the Charlotte-area community in the name of CRPS/RSD. We were started by teens who wanted to bring awareness to the citizens of our community to make a difference in the lives of those who suffer from CRPS/RSD.

What We Have Accomplished

Thanks to the overwhelming support from our community, we have been fortunate enough to accomplish the following:

  • The first Sunday in November has been declared “CRPS Awareness Day” in North Carolina.
  • A support group for those who are suffering from CRPS has been organized in the community. Please contact us if you would like more information.
  • We are sponsoring and organizing our 6th annual Fight the Flame® 5k race. Learn more and registerhere.
  • We have established a scholarship in the name of Fight the Flame®. Learn morehere.
  • To date, we have raised over $110,000 for the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association (RSDSA) to go towards research for CRPS.

With your continued support, we hope to accomplish much more in the near future!
